BLACKBERRY KUSH strain OVERVIEW

The Blackberry Kush Cannabis Seeds or BBK is a potent marijuana strain with a mysterious origin. That notwithstanding, this strain has gained immense popularity over the years, thanks to the powerful body high and stimulating cerebral effects it provides.

This is an excellent evening and nighttime that was created during a time when medical cannabis in the US began to take ground in California. Blackberry Kush’s compound composition (cannabinoids and terpenes) places it as a top choice for recreational and medical consumers alike.

Blackberry Kush seeds are easy to cultivate. The plants are resilient to some abiotic and biotic factors and produce an impressive yield. This review covers everything you need to know about the Blackberry Kush weed strain.

What are the origin and genetic composition of Blackberry Kush feminized seeds?

There is limited information on how Blackberry Kush was developed. Some cannabis researchers uphold that Blackberry Kush was developed by crossing Blackberry with Bubba Kush or Afghani. Other cases argue that it was developed accidentally after crossing Afghani with DJ Short Blueberry.

A few things about the strain remain constant, despite the different theories surrounding the strain’s origin. First, Blackberry Kush is an Indica dominant strain (80%) with a moderate THC range of 16% to 20%. Second, the CBD level for this strain is low, ranging between 0% to 0.8%.

Blackberry Kush has a short stature and bushy stems, attaining an optimal height of 75cm at maturity. The strain’s buds are green with yellow, purple, and black hues, a unique combination. Another outstanding feature of the strain is that the buds are covered in heavy trichomes and yellow-orange pistils. This is an aesthetic strain whose flowers are always top-shelf.

What does consuming Blackberry Kush flowers feel like?

Blackberry Kush provides a potent body stone coupled with a subtle cerebral buzz that keeps consumers happy, euphoric, and in a positive mood. The Indica effects start as a tingly sensation that begins at the tip of the head and ends at the toes, leaving the whole body feeling relaxed and calm

The strain is excellent for individuals who want to sit back and relax after a long, tiresome day. The potent Indica high melts all the aches, pain, and tension. As the high reaches its peak, moving the body becomes an impossible task. Heavy sedation and couch-lock become the order of the day. Be prepared before beginning your toking session by having snacks around. This hybrid causes a serious case of the munchies.

Can Blackberry Kush be used therapeutically?

Yes. Blackberry Kush is effective in managing chronic pain and inflammation. The phytochemical composition makes this strain ideal for combating insomnia, eating disorders, anxiety, and stress-related symptoms.

What does the Blackberry Kush strain smell and taste like?

Blackberry Kush has one of the strongest aroma and flavor properties among the Indica strains. The aroma from freshly treated Blackberry Kush buds can be described as fruity, with some people getting blackberry jam nuances. When you combust the buds, they produce a strong hashy aroma and jet fuel hints.

Blackberry Kush’s flavor is complex and has a mix of earthy and diesel, with sweet blackberry undernotes on the inhale. After exhalation, an earthy fuel aftertaste remains.

How to grow Blackberry Kush seeds?

According to experienced cannabis growers, Blackberry Kush performs optimally in controlled indoor conditions. The strain is resistant to powdery mildew and mold. However, growers need to pay extra attention since Blackberry Kush is highly susceptible to spider mites and bud rot.

Conduct regular inspections and maintain growing conditions at optimum levels. Other management procedures for the strain include:

  • Monitor and add micronutrients and magnesium alongside nitrogen to increase its production capacity.
  • Prune unhealthy and dead branches/leaves regularly to increase light penetration.
  • Keep the humidity levels below 60% during the vegetative stage and 40% during flowering.
  • Keep the temperature between 20 and 27 degrees.

Indoor-grown Blackberry Kush takes 8 to 10 weeks and yields about 450 grams/m2. On the other hand, outdoor-grown Blackberry Kush completes flowering in mid-October, yielding around 800 grams/plant.

UCS Great Service

I've ordered from this company before and the product is always top-notch. I was hesitant to try the blackberry kush because I'm not a fan of indicas, but I'm glad I did. The high is strong and relaxing without being too couch-locky. It's also very discreet and arrived quickly. I'll definitely be ordering from this company again!

Today starts week 6 flower. So far so good. About to start implementing UVB light for the last few weeks, titrate up to hr or so a day. Already so frosty. Blackberry is a finicky little girl. She lights high ph versus its counterparts.
